Gleyber Torres Leaves Game With Right Leg Discomfort: Detroit Tigers Face Setback
Detroit Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres limped down the stairs from the dugout during the transition from the third to the fourth inning, accompanied by an assistant athletic trainer.

In 2025, Torres has emerged as one of the top performers with the bat for the Tigers.
He is batting .277 with five home runs, 16 walks, and 15 strikeouts over 38 games. As the regular second baseman, he has contributed negatively by costing his team four defensive runs saved.
Against the Guardians, Torres grounded out to conclude the third inning and was substituted by Andy Ibáñez at second base prior to the start of the fourth. Although the ball was put into play with an impressive exit velocity of 105.3 mph, which had a predicted batting average of .670, Torres hesitated as he left the batter’s box and did not head towards first base.
